Someone asked for a confirmation of the above rumor. Asimov himself wrote in the second volume of his autobiography that he married Janet Jeppson. My memory is not too sharp on this subject, since I read the books (which are huge) years ago. I have read way over two hundred of Asimovs books, and the details are getting hard to keep apart. She is a psychiatrist (or psychologist). He met her at a science-fiction convention. He has encouraged her to develop her writing skills, and she chooses to use her maiden name to avoid confusing people. I would write more but my system is going down for nightly file-maintenance.
