Last week's news contained a couple of allusions to a new draft standard, but I
haven't seen any sort of formal announcement, and I've been watching. Is there
a public review period now under way? What are the deadlines? In any event,
could somebody close to the committee please bring us all up to date on the
status of the standardization effort?
