I'm developing applications for Microsoft Windows under PC-DOS, but am almost ready to give up due to Microsoft's C compiler (I have both v4.0 and v5.0). Windows SDK is a nice package, but do I really have to use Microsoft C? Anyone who knows of any other compiler that I can use with it? I have since long been using Wizard C for "normal" applications under PC-DOS.

Hello netland... Being new to this newsgroup, I may be in for some flaming. But, here goes.... I am doing work with MS-Windows and I am wondering if this is the best newsgroup for talking to others about Windows or getting a hold of PD Windows applications and programs (do they exist.???). If it's not, would someone kindly guide me there? I've looked around at all the newsgroups our site is getting and I can't anything that is devoted to Windows. Comp.lang.c seems to be as close as I get... Please, just send me an e-mail with whatever information you can give me. Thanks for any help you can give, Alan
