I am developing a package for the MS-DOS environment using MSC 5.0. Lately I have had several bugs in code that *should* work correctly (Ha!). I have not always been able to track down the causes of these bugs. CODEVIEW and the /W3 qualifier on the CL command are very helpful in many cases, but there are still a few maddening bugs that I can't locate. Several people have told me that I need a version of LINT. Can anyone tell me what sort of error-checking LINT will do that the MSC compiler cannot? Does anyone know of a public domain version of LINT for the MS-DOS environment? If not, does anyone have any experience with the various commercial LINTs for the PC? If anyone has a Public Domain version of LINT for the PC, please send it to me over BITNET if possible, or at least send me details on how I can receive it. Thanks for the help! ******************************************************************************* * * David Swanger * My opinions are my own, etc... * Academic Computing Services * * Auburn University, Al 36849 **************************************** 205-826-4813 Bitnet address: SWANGER@AUDUCVAX *******************************************************************************
