This is posted for a friend of mine. He is currently trying to convert a program that he has compiled in Quick BASIC To Quick C. This program is used to collect data coming in on the RS232 from a device conneted there. He was wondering how to set up the Port and also do direct screen I/O. He say's that from what he can determine, the buffer for the RS232 port in Quick C is only set to 1 byte. And that Quick C is to slow for RS232 work. So he thinks he might have to do this part in assembler or something. I was just curious if this was so, or are we going about this all wrong. Any code examples would be greatly appreciated. Also Any assembler source that would facatilitate these for us. Thanx in Advance Leon Geesey
