I'm using: Sun UNIX 4.2 Release 3.4 I want: To have an input screen with a vi session on the screen for inputting text, with other input fields/instructions on other parts of the screen. This should be done using curses so that it will operate on ascii tubes. Is this possible? Everything I've tried leads me to think that vi is a screen hog. I can fork and make a 'system' call to execute VI, but it grabs the whole screen, even if I've created subwindows using curses. If anyone has code/hints/answers, please email to me. I'll post my results. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Situational circumstances conspire cowan@edsews.eds.com to evolve into manifestations of (Disclaimer: These opinions extruding excrement" are mine, mine, mine! )
