I've got a fairly large software package, with many makefiles that depend on "cc -M" to create the dependency graphs. I'd like this to be portable to as many other systems as possible. My question is, how common is "cc -M"? I know BSD4.3 has it, as do SunOS and Ultrix. What about System-5 and other flavors? If it turns out that expecting virtually everybody to have "cc -M" or the equivalent is unreasonable, is there a public-domain program that I could distribute along with my code which would do the same thing? -- Roy Smith, System Administrator Public Health Research Institute {allegra,philabs,cmcl2,rutgers}!phri!roy -or- phri!roy@uunet.uu.net "The connector is the network"
