In France he is known by the name OGIER LE DANOIS. In his old age he came home and went to sleep. Tourists visiting the Kronborg Castle in Helsingor (Elsinore) will find a statue of him in the Casemats (underground dungeon) showing an old bearded man sleeping at a table. It is said that in a time of peril to the nation he shall awaken again and save Denmark.
