I would like to apologize for having posted an employment ad to a few more newsgroups beyond misc.jobs. I realized that was a mistake, but it was too late. Once again, my apologies to all of you whom this posting created any inconveniences. Sergiu S. Simmel simmel@wang.UUCP

I would like to apologize for the multiple copies of the followup I made to the article 15058@sequent.UUCP from Bill Sears. When I tried to send my article, I received this error message: inews: Cannot append to /usr/spool/batchnews/sce which I tought meant: "I cannot send your article". So I tried again, and on another machine: and then I had no error message. When I found out that all my attempts were sent, I tried to cancel them but the system did not let me: telling me that I was not the owner of the message. Sorry about that! -- Bruno Godbout 3755 Riverside Dr. VOICE: (613) 738-1338 ext.5086 Cognos, Inc P.O. Box 9707 FAX: (613) 738-0002 Ottawa, Ontario CANADA K1G 3Z4 UUCP: uunet!mitel!sce!cognos!brunog

I must extend an apology to Charles Guest in referring to his postings as being "humorous" and "sarcastic jokes". While I'm sure many of you have read his posting concerning what happened, I will say that, unfortunately, I did not have that privilege before posting my article. The postings immediately lost their humor to me when I found out that his signature had been forged on them. I hope this will dispel any misconceptions about my part in what has happened. It is truly sad that people on the net must divert their respective energies from the dissemination of ideas and information to policing the net trying to find perpetrators of electronic forgery. Likewise, it is sad that someone had enough time to actually perform such a forgery. My sincerest apologies. -- Thanks Chris Cleeland, Tulane University ADDRESS: cleeland@rex.tulane.cs.edu Disclaimer: "I'm a student -- I can't afford to buy one!"
