[comp.lang.c] Is aix C comp ansi?

Article <2398@ibmpa.UUCP> by webb@bass.tcspa.ibm.com (Bill Webb) says:
|
|If the AIX compiler claims to be ANSI (I'm not sure if it does),

It is not ANSI C. Among other things, it doesn't support the new-style
functions, so it cannot be ANSI.

The PS/2 AIX 1.1 C compiler is however "more" ANSI. It does support the
new-style functions, but not trigraphs.

It appears that neither conforms to the (still) non-existing ANSI C standard,
but the PS/2 one is much closer than the RT one.
