RICH.GVT@OFFICE-3@sri-unix.UUCP (09/11/83)
I sent a message on this to Dave <ucivax!bork%uucp.UCI@Rand-Relay>, but he may not have received it considering all the gateways it had to pass through: There has been an online SF conventions listing available to SF-Lovers readers for the last couple of years (I took over maintenance from an earlier sucker). It is maintained as a publicly-FTPable file on ARPANET host OFFICE-3 (soon to be on MILNET) in file <ZELLICH>CONS.TXT. There is a mailing-list for those who want update-notices when the file has been significantly changed, and there is a second mailing-list which gets the whole file instead of just an update notice; this second mailing-list is for those who don't have FTP access to OFFICE-3. It's handled this way, instead of being published in the SF-Lovers Digest, because of it's size: CONS.TXT is currently about 15 printed pages (formatted for lineprinter); it contains 771 lines (unformatted) or 35,522 characters. Cheers, Rich
