I have long had this idea....let's see if anyone else thinks it's good; The high price of sheet music, and books of music is just appalling! I cannot afford more than a book or two of music a month, and yet, there is so much out there that I would like to have.... I have always thought that the ideal solution would be to find a few other people with whom I could share and pool my music in return for them doing the same. We could each buy, say, a $10.00 book, and copy it off for 5 cents per page (adds to, typically, $1.50 or so) then mail it to each other, in a short while we would each have a large library of music. Anyone out there agree? --------------------------------- Moral Statement: --------------------------------- Of course, I realize that many people will express shock and horror at my suggestion to 'defraud the music industry and the musicians of their rightful royalties'....well.....if I was as rich as I desired, I would buy all the books I desired, and not feel at all bad. Unfortunately, the realitites of life step in. How many people who are about to flame have NEVER borrowed a book from the library? That's defrauding the author of royalties, isn't it? What about listening to the radio rather than buying the album? (Perhaps this is taking it to the extreme, but....) --------------------------------- End of Moral Statement ---------------------------------- So, fellow musicians, what do you say? Sound good? Answer by electronic mail - it's safer! Wrapped in asbestos (cough cough) Dave Taylor ---------------- "I'm a mechanic....I build and service joy buzzers." -- "The Whore of Mensa" (Woody Allen)

Well, sounds like a good idea to me. Both my wife and I play, and she gets pissed when we spend on the average of $40.00 each time we buy sheet music for our guitars, piano, clarinet, and sax.
