[comp.lang.c] Zortech DOES have text in graphics mode

nelson_p@apollo.HP.COM (Peter Nelson) (02/16/90)

I want to retract something I said in a posting from
yesterday, in which I complained that the Zortech 2.0 C++
compiler had no way of outputting text in graphics mode.

Zortech DOES have text in graphics mode. They have
two Flash Graphics calls: fg_putc and fg_puts for this
 purpose.

I have no idea why I couldn't see these in the manual,
but then, I feel a little better because the tech
support person didn't see them either.

BTW, all the senior techies from Zortech were at a trade
show last week and they left the place in the hands of
some rather new people. The fellow I was dealing with
tried to be helpful but he was clearly in over his head
on many of the questions I asked him, so when he said that
Zortech had no way to output text in graphics mode I should
have listened to my intuition and verified this with someone
more senior before posting to Usenet. I apologize for any
harm this might have done to Zortech's reputation.
