From what I understand, Linda will follow up her "What`s New" album with another LP with more standards. By the by, Toni Tennille has ALSO put out an all standards LP. Wonder what the Captain thinks about that. Tom O`Connor

Linda Ronstadt is currently preparing to make her operatic debut in a Joseph Papp production of "La Boheme" by Puccini! She will be singing Mimi. There has been some talk about Vanessa Williams singing Musetta but I haven't heard anything firm about that. (No, I don't consider "Pirates of Penzance" to be opera even though I love it very much.) -paul asente decwrl!asente
