The book about a guy who receives a time travelling belt from his uncle is "The Man Who Folded Himself." by David Gerrold (yes, that one). It has absolutely nothing original to say about time travel, but it does have most of the mutually consistent time travel gimmicks I've ever seen, which is a lot. Heinlein did it better, though not in one book. Someone mentioned MARS. American Flagg!, published by the same company, is the closest thing to SF I've ever seen in a continuing comic series, much better than MARS. It's a one man production by Howard Chaykin, who collaborated on several stories with Chip Delaney. Great fun. Imperious Rocks! Jacob -------
