1) In Ansi C you can use either type.
 2) If you are used to pascal or anything like that, you would prefer
it that way anyway.
3) It gives the compiler **MUCH** stronger type checking, which has saved me an
awful lot of time once I worked out what was involved.
(I am alway passing a pointer instead of an integer, or vice versa.
I am more than happy for the compiler tell me when I have done so.)
 
It strikes me that the question is one of personal preference, and you willever
get far arguing about that.
