In my six years on notes I have seen this same "request" at least 5 times.

THIS IS ALMOST CERTAINLY A FAKE.

Somebody starts it and others pick it up, and round and round it goes.
Then a hospital or an organization (or an individual) gets deluged
with mail.

Look, guys, if you really want to help, then send a check to Make-a-Wish.
It's a real organization, but I'd verify the address before sending anything.

It has been pointed out to me by several people that this child
does exist, and that many years ago he did acheive his goal and
get recognized by Guinness.  Nonetheless, my basic point was
correct;  there is absolutely no need to send more postcards.
