A few days ago, I posted a rather acid rebuke to the people who were
trying to convince Fortran programmers to switch to C. I was only
annoyed with such postings in comp.lang.fortran and I apologize to the
entire comp.lang.c readership for the cross-post to their group. It was
highly inappropriate if inadvertent.
