[comp.lang.c] ANSI C, X/Open C, and Sun C

Three questions:

1) Does the X/Open standard for C endorse ANSI C fully, or does
   X/Open's standard differ?

2) Does Sun C vers. 4.1 comply with the X/Open standard?

3) Does Sun C vers. 4.1 comply with ANSI C? (It doesn't support
function protyping, or the new style of function defintion, which
I thought were part of ANSI C.)

Thanks very much...

According to our on-site Sun Support guy (Greg Earle), neither Suns
bundled C (4.1) nor their unbundled C 1.0 comply with the ANSI standard.
