In refrence to using a space power satellite for a weapon: Fortunatly or unfortunatly depending on your viewpoint the microwave beam from a SPS cannot be brought to a focus smaller than several kilometers across. The most damage you could do with one would be to give someone cateracts if you pointed it at them for several months. In addition the proposed designs need a guide beam from the recieving station to focus so they cannot be pointed away from the reciever. Jose Torre-Bueno decvax!duke!phs!jtb
