I've programmed in BSD curses for quite a while now, and I recently tried to see what Ultrix curses was like(seeing as how DEC says it's much better and seeing as I don't know how to program in X -- anyone want to offer help with that? I'd love to learn how to program in X, but alas I have no manuals). Anyway, in the program I plan to write I would like to access some of the 'odd' keys on the keyboard, like Help and the functions keys etc. My problem is how do I do that? I ran across this function called keypad() which seemed to be the thing, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to use it, and the documentation was no help at ALL. So, my double plea.... Many Many thanx to anyone who can help with either my curses problem and to anyone who can help me get started with X programming. Please respond via email as I don't read this group on a regular basis. Thanx again, Mark Halstead **-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-** * __ Founder of the 'Institute of Magic Research of America and Beyond' * | //\\ --- | *__\\//__ Disclaimer: This post is not really here, whatever you think * |`--..--'+---Warning:--+ you read, you imagined. | * || |Avatars have| +----------------------------------+ | `' | less fun | | uunet!hsi!yale!spock!gandalf | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
