I have just read "THE BLUE SWORD" (sorry the authors name escapes me it was someone new) and found it a quite enjoyable read (not real deep but fun) well worth the price of admission. Someone mentioned "CITADEL OF THE AUTARCH" and I am curious about these books. I read "SHADOW OF THE TORTURER" and hated it (confusing, weak characters, disjoint plot line). Are the other books just like it and it just isn't to my taste (someone seems to like it) or are they better. Another book I have just read and is now on my "books to put down and leave alone list" is "THE IRON LORDS" for virtually the same reasons as "SHADOW OF THE TORTURER". Has anyone heard anything about when the next book in David Eddings quintology is coming out ("PAWN OF PROPHECY", "QUEEN OF SORCERY","MAGICIANS GAMBIT" so far). I am absolutely dying to read it. I am afraid that Marion Zimmer Bradley is going to drop off the deep end like Heinlen has. Her books have often been to some degree sexually obsessed but usually not to the exclusion of plot. The latest, however, "THENDARA HOUSE" didn't seem to have much of anything else. Any comments. When is Orson Scott Card going to stop editing anthologies and resume writing books? "SONGMASTER" is one of my all time favorite books and I would rather read his writing than a collection of other peoples. David Albrecht General Electric (my opinions are my own) P.O.
