Is there some library somewhere that handles regexp macthing like grep (or, ideally, perl) does? I think the lads over at ftp.cs.toronto.edu have a copy of mine available. It does egrep-style regular expressions. I believe the one in perl is a heavily-mutated version of mine, although I haven't confirmed this. You might also try Victor Volkman's BBS in the Detroit area. The phone number is 313-663-4173; look for the files named CGAZV5N1.ARC, CGAZV5N2.ARC, and CGAZV5N3.ARC. These are the sources for the last three issues of the C Gazette, and ONE of them has a pretty good grep engine in them.
