vax1:witters (07/08/82)

Just a reminder, "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" begins July 8th on
your local NPR radio station. Two local radio stations are broadcasting this
satirical science fiction series:

KUOW	7:30PM Thursdays
KPLU	12:00 Noon	Saturdays

The T.V. version will be broadcast beginning October 14th, 1982 on KCTS channel
9 in Seattle. I'll post the time of the program when I find out what it is.

The radio series (all 12 episodes!) will be broadcast on KUOW FM 94.9Mhz on
Friday November 26, 1982 from 9:30 AM to 4:15 PM and 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
This marathon will be interrupted at 4:15 PM for All Things Considered and an
exclusive interview with Douglas Adams, the author of the series.

I've started watching the T.V. series, and based on the few episodes I've seen,
I felt the radio series was better. However the T.V. series is still better than
the average network sitcom.

The Radio series of The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy will be broadcast
beginning Monday January 2nd, 1984 on KUOW FM 94.9 MHz Seattle at 6:30 P.M..

The Television series will be broadcast beginning Saturday January 28th, 1984

In my opinion, the radio series is better than the television series. Here is
your chance to find out for yourselves.
