{ Hee hee hee...hackers at work. }

Hey! Want a good laugh?

Well, it seems that the mighty Jacksons have learned about concert
videos the hard way.

During their performances in New York City, someone was handing out
leaflets that proclaim that you can buy videotapes of the Jacksons
in concert at Kansas City for $65.

The video quality is very good, from what I understand. I'm not sure
of the sound quality.

How?

It was very simple. The Jacksons tote around their own video equipment
wherever they go. They hire their own people to run it. Everywhere.
EXCEPT Kansas City. I guess they were having some problems with it, so
they plugged into the one in the stadium that they were performing in.
That one was run by stadium people, who the Jacksons do not own. A pay-off
is believed to have occured somewhere. But even if not, it would be very
easy to do. All one would have to do is hitch up a recording VCR to a live
wire in some hallway. Presto! Intercept it on the way to the big screen
in the stadium and record off it before it goes it's merry way.

Thus, the quality is excellent, seeing how it's the Jacksons' own cameras
that did them in.

What is going to be done about is, as yet, uncertain. One idea was to
release an "official" concert video and underbid these guys, but Michael
Jackson vetoed that because he felt the tour was too visible anyway.

Sigh. It's kind of nice to see an empire get rooked.
