COK2@mts.durham.ac.UK (Barry_Cornelius) (01/08/88)

There are a number of Working Groups looking at Modula-2 standardisation.

In the UK, a Working Group of the British Standards Institution (BSI),
IST/5/13, has been looking at Modula-2 standardisation since November 1984.
The aim is to produce a draft of a standard sometime in 1988.
The chairman of IST/5/13 is: Barry Cornelius, SEAS (Computer Science),
 University of Durham,Durham,DH1 3LE,England. Phone: (+44 or 0) 91 374 2638.
 E-mail: Barry_Cornelius@mts.dur.ac.uk
The secretary of IST/5/13 is: John Souter, C&AS, BSI, PO Box 375,
 Milton Keynes, MK14 6LL, England. Phone: (+44 or 0) 908 220908.

Real Time Associates, 59 Canning Road, Croydon, CR0 6QF, England.
Some of the material is published in "MODUS Quarterly". This is the journal
of "MODUS", the Modula-2 Users Association. It appears 4 times a year.
For membership of MODUS, contact either:
George Symons, MODUS, PO Box 51778, Palo Alto, CA 94303,
     USA. Phone: (415) 322-0547.

     Switzerland. Phone: (+41 or 0) 21 52 61 71.

In France, there is a Modula-2 Working Group attached to AFNOR.

Finally, national standardisation bodies are cooperating
with the Modula-2 Working Group of ISO (ISO/TC97/SC22/WG13). This
group held its first two meetings in Nottingham, England (April 1987)
and in Nice, France (January 1988). It is planned to hold the third
meeting in August 1988 in Portland, Oregon, USA.
The convenor of ISO/TC97/SC22/WG13 is: Roger Henry, Department of Computer
Science, University of Nottingham, Nottingham, NG7 2RD, England.
