I am looking for an article on the Modula-2 PLUS language developed at DEC SRC (Systems Research Center). I saw this article sometime in the last year, in a recent article (journal or magazine, I do not know). The article described extensions for monitors, and also extensions for exception handling. If anyone knows where the article appeared, I would be very grateful. I have spent 2 days searching in dozens of yearly (december-issue) indexes, and in computing reviews, and in in the '85 and '86 ACM literature index. If anyone knows of another article on Modula-2 PLUS, that would also be fine. Also, if anyone knows some slick library techniques to help me solve this problem, please tell me. I have exhausted all other avenues, except to wait for the '87 or '88 issue of the ACM index. Thank you very much... Don Gillies {ihnp4!uiucdcs!gillies} U of Illinois {gillies@p.cs.uiuc.edu}

Probably the best source of information is the following: P. Rovner, R. Levin, J. Wick, "On extending modula-2 for building large integrated systems", DEC Systems Research Center Tech. Rept. No. 3, January 11, 1985. The address of DEC SRC is: 130 Lytton Avenue, Palo Alto CA 94301 Best of luck, Harry

You can get it as tech report from DEC Systems Research Center in Palo Alto. It's called "On Extending Modula-2 for buildind Large Integrated Systems" by Paul Rovner, et. al. DEC SRC's address is Digital Systems Research Center 130 Lytton Ave. Palo Alto, Ca. 94301 A version of the report appeared in IEEE software, the special issue on Modula-2. Sorry, I don't remember the date. Cheers, Geoff -- UUCP: ...{yale,mit-eddie}!apollo!wyant
