[comp.lang.modula2] M2 Compiler for 386 protect mode and TI 34010

jsm@laird.UUCP (Jeffrey McArthur) (08/25/88)

I am hunting for two different modula 2 compilers. I need a protected
mode modula 2 compiler for the 80386 with rom support. Logitech has
announced their OS/2 compiler. This means that it runs in protected
mode but only uses 80286 instructions. I would like the 32 bit instructions.
Also I need the ability to put this stuff into rom. So I need a builder-
binder (Intel's name for the linker for protected mode) that supports
absolute location and hopefully something like intel hex output.

Now for a really off the wall one. How about any information on a
modula 2 compiler for the TI 34010 or the just recently announced
34020? I do not look forward to writing a large amount of code for
a processor in C that is just bairly K&R compatable (not even Ansi).
For graphics applications the 34010 has some very nice features and the
34020 is even better (it FINALLY supports 32 bits per pixel directly).
The code for this may also have to be put into ROM.
