[comp.lang.modula2] Romable M2

wick@INSTR.CAMOSUN.BC.CA (Darrell Wick) (03/12/89)

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to link Logitech MS-DOS Modula-2 for
loading into rom? A couple versions back, they sold an absolute linker/loader
kit but in a recent phone call they indicated they no longer have
this product.

Do other compilers/linkers support romable Modula-2 for the 8088?

JPI offers a program called M2LOCATE in the technical kit for their modula-2
compiler that can be used (they say) to produce ROMable code. Unfortunately,
some procedures in the AsmLib and SYSTEM modules are self-modufying and thus
not ROMable. I've never tried this, so I can't tell you how well it works.
