GRANGERG@VTVM1.BITNET (Greg Granger) (09/16/89)
I'm using version 1.10 of the TopSpeed M2 compiler (I've order the upgrade, but not yet received it, RSN) and am having a problem with the procedure IO.RdCharDirect, it doesn't exist. First I found it used in the Terminal.mod, decided it was a oversite and should have been simply RdChar, but I have just receive the Btree toolkit and the Misc.mod uses this procedure (which seems to be very similar to the procedure BiosIO.RdChar). Does anyone know what the story on this procedure is? Does anyone have it either in their IO module or listed in their User's Manual? --- I have received the BTree toolkit and the Communications toolkit both are very nice (with the exception of the above problem with I got around by using BiosIO.RdChar). The Communications toolkit is esp. sharp, VT100, VT52, ANSI, Kermit, XModem, YModem, ... plus several extras like a menuing module, with a very nice demo. Best of all both of these packages came with complete source (no OBJ's, just DEFs and MODs plus one or two text files). Greg

Your problem is solved with a toolbox called M2Prolib and an extension to it, called M2ProExt, that contains low level stuff. It is also available for JPI TopSpeed, as well as for other compilers as TaylorModula-2, M2SDS and Logitech. ..... Albert Meier Tel. +41/65/52 03 11 .. ....
