[net.sf-lovers] Great

For those of you who missed it, Ron's quote ("I just hate being
disintegrated") is from the Bugs Bunny show.

As for bad movies, tops on my list (or bottoms) has got to be "Space
Pilot", a dubbed Italian (I think) show who's idea of zero-gravity is a slow
motion trampoline. Story was lousy also. The only reason I didn't walk out
on it was that I wanted to see "At the Earth's Core", which followed. I walked
out on that one.
As for good movies, I go to have fun. Minor Technical bugs don't bother
me so much as bad stories and lousy acting. The Andromeda Strain, Silent
Running, 2001, The Star Wars films (though the acting in #1 wasn't the best, the
effects were great), The Wrath of Kahn, War of the Worlds, and a few others
I remember as being among my favorites. The above mentioned, as well as
Flash Gordon, Death Race 2000, Star Trek 1, Alien, Godzilla beats the Hell Out
of Tokyo (ad nausium), Quest for Fire, Time Walker, Hanger 18, etc. all rate on
my list of wasted celluloid. Also include Cattle Car Galactica, V, The Day
After, and Upchuck Rodgers, from the tube.
