Tom. ----- Begin Included Message ----- Modula-2 IEEE/MSC/P1151 and US TAG to ISO-IEC/JTC1/SC22/WG13 Meeting The next meeting of the US Modula-2 Standards Committee (IEEE/MSC/P1151 and US TAG) will be held January 29-31, 1989 at the Contel Technology Center in Chantilly, Virginia (we have moved this year) with lodging reserved at Ramada Renaissance Inn about 5 miles North. This page is just the announcement of the meeting with travel and lodging arrangements. The area (write to Tom Reid for map): The meeting will be about 30 miles West of Washington, DC in the Virginia suburbs. The Ramada Renaissance Inn and Contel are on opposite sides US 50 (Lee Jackson Hwy.) off Rte 28 (Sully Rd.) about 5 miles apart. Meeting: The meeting will be held in the Contel Technology Center part of Contel Federal Systems at 15000 Conference Center Drive in Room 1480S. When you arrive, you will need to be badged at the guard's desk and escorted to the room. The meetings will be from 8:30 to 5:00 each day. I will make arrangements for lunch. For donuts, lunches and cokes (coffee is free), I anticipate about a $30-35 meeting charge depending on the number of people. Please let me know what days you will be here so I can plan (thanks). Lodging: A block of rooms is being held at the Ramada Renaissance, 13869 Park Center Rd., Herndon, Virginia, 22021) for the nights of January 28-30 under the Contel corporate rate of $81.69 ($87.00 with tax). To take advantage of this rate, you must make the reservations through our travel desk before January 17 but after January 1. Either call Jill Robinson at ^^^^^^^^^^ (703)818-5400 (the magic word to say is Modula-2) or send me mail and I will have Jill make the reservations. So that the rooms can be guaranteed to your credit card, Jill or I will need your credit card number. To save yourself money, please cancel before 6:00 PM if you cannot make it (either with Jill or the Ramada directly at 703-478-2900). Travel: I strongly suggest Dulles Airport. We are about 10 miles from Dulles, 30 miles from National, and 70 miles from Baltimore-Washington International. The Ramada has a courtesy car from Dulles. When you know your arrival time, please let me know so I can try to coordinate getting you to the Ramada, dinner for early arrivals, and to and from the meetings. Call me with any questions and let me know when you are coming so I can plan. Thanks. Sincerely, Thomas F.
