Maybe I can do a few (very simple) compiler comparisons, here at school we have I think two commercial packages, and if I can ftp the shareware one, I'd be glad to do some tiny comparisons, like null program size, hello-world's size, math stuff, library completeness.... Now, if somebody would be willing to mail me some benchmarks and some guidlines as to what to look for while checking the compilers I think the testing would be much more complete, as I have never compared programming environments nor libraries nor do I have any benchmark listings (the normal ones, sieve, etc.).
