Does anyone know which Modula-2 compilers can be used together with Btrieve (Novell)? Hanspeter Winkler WINKLER@FHI-BERLIN.MPG.DBP.DE Fritz-Haber-Institut der MPG Berlin FRG

Here is a list of supported compilers from my Btrieve 4.11b documentation. mbp COBOL-85, Micro Focus COBOL/2 Turbo Pascal, Turbo Basic, Turbo C Metaware Pascal, SBB Pascal MBP COBOL, Micro Focus COBOL, Realia COBOL, RM COBOL Microsoft C, Mark Williams C, Ci-C86, Lattice C, DeSmet C Microsoft Fortran Microsoft QuickBasic, Digital Research CBASIC Logitech Modula-2/86 STSC APL*PLUS Now, other compilers can obviously also be used as long as their call conventions are compatible with one of the above (eg Microsoft Pascal would definitely work). \tom haapanen tom@mims-iris.UWaterloo.CA watmims research group university of waterloo "Now, you didn't really expect my views to agree with my employer's, did you?"

Here is a way to program Btrieve in a much more comfortable way than by just calling the routines from Btrieve: bInterface is a true Modula-2 interface to Btrieve that calls Btrieve directly but interfaces in a Modula-2-way of doing compared to the system calls from other languages. bInterface is available from ITC, Houston, resp. A+L Switzerland and runs on M2SDS, TaylorModula-2, JPI TopSpeed and Logitech. ..... Albert Meier Tel. +41/1/700 30 37 .. .... A+L AG, Im Spaeten 23, CH-8906 Bonstetten .. .... .......A+L. Does anybody out there in ModulaLand have an interface written in Modula-2 for BTrieve. I am writing a simple GIS and would like to have it based on a reasonably robust, fast database system. Thanks. There is a Btrieve interface for LogiTech Modula-2 that comes with Btrieve. I have also translated this to TopSpeed Modula-2. If you need this, please send me a note directly and I will send you the source to it. Mark Morrell MARK @ ECNCDC Software Specialist Western Illinois University

I'm working 2 Years with that Interface without Problems. The sources are long and if nobody sends you another Interface. I'll send you it complete. Have you other Modules in Modula ??
