There are several Modula systems available for the Atari ST. One is
a German public domain compiler; it is available from
archive-server%panarthea.ebay@sun.com . Send a mail message there
with the word help on a single line to get more info. I have never
worked with it, so I cannot say much about it (should be cheap,
anyway). Current Version is 1.4, whatever that means.

SPC Modula V2.01 is a pretty decent commercial compiler from Germany.
It includes a graphical shell, an editor, very extensive libraries,
many useful utilities, a German Modula 2 - course, a German
online help - system and an easy to program window library (compared
to GEM, anyway!). It also contains some annoying features, such as
restricting the size of data structures to 32Kbytes. I'm not sure
wether an English handbook exists; module documentation is in
English. The address is:

Advanced Applications Vinczena GmbH
Sperlingsweg ?? (don't remember the house number at the moment)
D - 7500 Karlsruhe

There is one other compiler I remember offhand; it is Megamax Modula 2.
That one got a pretty favourable review in a German ST magazine
recently; if there is interest, I'll hunt up the issue and post the
address where to get it from.
