[comp.lang.modula2] Lots of different things

Hello:
I have not died, I have just been busier than ever before in my life. On
May 4, 90 you asked which libraries I own and like. Other than Repertoir
and the User Interface Library from Software Artistry, I don't own any
other libraries. The UI lib is terrible. The demo's don't even work
   properly.

However, at work we use the Btree and Windows libraries by Solid
Software, Inc ( West Chester, OH ) and they are really good. In fact,
exellent is probably a more accurate description. The documentation is
extensive and very good. The Btree stuff is lightning fast and the window
stuff works as advertised, no funnies or unexpected surprises. The
libraries contain more code than you would expect. The only minor
negative point is that they seem to be taking longer than they expected
( and we ) to get the versions for the V2 compiler ready to deliver, but
I think this my have to do with the new compiler .......

We discovered a problem in the JPI V2 R1.04 compiler when doing file I/O
but have lost the exact version of the code that caused the problem and
I would like to know if anybody has / had similar problems. When the
line FIO.WrLn( MyFile ); occurred in a program, the CR LF was not written
to the output file but all other output appeared in the file. Most
   strange.

  Regards
  Cobus de Beer

Hello:

Thank you for your response concerning what libraries you use. I
Is your company considering getting Solid Software's Windows Professional?

It allows you to do a lot of user-interface prototyping and automatic code generation.
