I am posting this in response to requests for public domain Modula-2
development systems.
MacLogimo Plus version 1.2 is a public domain Modula-2 development system
for the Macintosh and is available by anonymous ftp from apple.com
(130.43.2.2) at the following path:
/pub/ArchiveVol1/MLPModula2/MLPModula2.hqx
If you do not have the ability to ftp, contact Project Modula for
distribution information. Sending the large development system via email
is not a prudent option.
MacLogimo Plus includes a MC68000 Modula-2 compiler, a linker,
a source level post mortem debugger, Modula-2 libraries, and a subset
of the Macintosh toolbox libraries. A minimum system configuration of
a Macintosh 512KE with an external 800K floppy disk drive or a hard disk
is recommended.
It is not a commercial quality development system. The user interface
is not commercial quality. It is not everything for everyone. However,
it is a solid Modula-2 compiler derived from the ETH MacLogimo source code
and it has been bootstrapped to work with new Macintosh computers.
