Hello everybody. A recent newsletter from TERRA Datentechnik, the European Master Distributor for Logitech / MultiScope confirms the role of Stony Brook in the development of their new compiler. I quote: " The new Logitech Modula-2 Development System Version 4.0 ========================================================= The completely new compiler V4.0 has been developed exclusively for Multi- Scope Inc. by Stony Brook Software, and we beleive it outperforms any product currently on the market. The V4.0 Development System has been extended to support multiple memory models, windows 3.0 and Presentation Manager development, and much more. Nearly all source code changes from V3.40 which are required to take advantage of the new compiler will be handled automatically by a conversion program included in the package. The new Logitech Modula-2 Library is completely compatible with V3.40 and will also include significant enhancements. The new Development System V4.0 will allow development of DOS, Windows, OS/2 and Presentation Manager applications. Upgrades will be offered to all registered users automatically. We therefore recommend that programmers use the current V3.40 release and upgrade to V4.0 as soon as it becomes available. If you are not sure about your registration of Logitech Modula-2, please send the registration form." And further: "About actual releases and updates... Modula-2 Dev. System DOS 4.0 Available not before February 91." Address: TERRA Datentechnik Bahnhofstrasse 33 CH-8703 Erlenbach Switzerland.
