At last just started to program on the Amiga. Since I've been learning Modula-2 in my courses, that's it. I was wondering if Benchmark is the compiler that I should get. But, I really _really_ would like to talk with some Amiga Mod2 programmers. Thanks. Brian E-Mail would be the best way to get back to me..... INTERNET: bstein@hpuxa.ircc.ohio-state.edu

I prefer the M2Sprint compiler (available from same source as Benchmark no) because you get all the libraries, instead of having t buy htem peace-meel, and most of all, you get ALL THE SOURCE CODE TO THEM!!! You get no source code in Benchmark, but you do get the source level debugger (purchased separately again I bel4eive). Hi Brian, I'm a computer science major and all my experience has been programming on the PC platform. I have saved some money and I think I'm gonna purchase an AMIGA 3000. I want to know what type of compliers are available and could you give me some info on the various M2 compliers out there for the AMIGA. Richard L. Hi Markus, I was thinking about buying an Amiga but I have one question, what is the quality of the available M2 compliers?(C, Pascal, Asm?) I had one about 3 to 4 years ago and I would only play games on it. Now I'm really into programming and I was thinking of buying a 3000. Help! I have a Modula-2 compiler for the Amiga. It was produced by TDI software. I previously believed that this company had gone out of business. However, now I see this excerpt from a post: I prefer the M2Sprint compiler (available from same source as Benchmark no) because you get all the libraries, instead of having t buy htem peace-meel, and most of all, you get ALL THE SOURCE CODE TO THEM!!! You get no source code in Benchmark, but you do get the source level debugger (purchased separately again I bel4eive). TDI sent me a disk a few years ago that promoted M2Sprint. If you have any information regarding M2Sprint or the company that sells (or sold) it, I would appreciate it. Thanks. Contact Preferred Technologies, Inc. Language Systems division 1450 E. Beltwood Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75244 Phone: 214-702-9191 M2Sprint was originally written by M2S, but they went belly-up, it is now supported by Preferred Tech. I really like M2Sprint, although the debugger is just a post-mortem debugger, not a true source-level interactive debugger. M2Sprint sells fro around 190 bucks for the complete package.
