[comp.lang.modula2] One quick addendum.....

NORVELL@KNOX.BITNET (ozymandias G desiderata) (05/04/91)

Ooops... I forgot one little detail in my description of my problem. I
had the files sent to me via NETDATA format, not UUencoded. I realized that a
lot of you would think me a major bonehead if I had them sent encoded and didn't
bother to decode them. If you have no idea what the hell this post is about then
you haven't gotten the first one. Write me, if you're feeling charitable, to
<NORVELL@KNOX.BITNET> and I'll tell you about my FTP woes.

Ah, yes. That means that those files are all in EBCDIC, and you somehow have
convert them to ASCII. I have no Idea how to do that on a VAX ...

I missed the first part of your problem, but I do know what netdata
format is. You can mail the description of your problem to me at
chrisj@netcom.com, or if you have an RSCS connection and an IBMMAIL
account, you can send a note to USDBAKWF AT IBMMAIL, which will get
to the 9370 of which I am the sysadmin. We use both RSCS and TCPIP
for communication with some IBM sites, and FTP files all the time
between the 9370 and some RS6000s, so I might be able to help you.
