Since it will probably be a little longer before I can get to package up my new compiler with the base items, you can email me a message and get via return email (in uuencode format) the version 1.2 Oberon-M compiler. (Applies to MSDOS only.) This is just the compiler, not the whole package which ought to be downloaded as the basic system... contact me if you don't know how/where to get it. In a few weeks the package will be updated with this compiler, plus the new ASCII form of the language report. This version (1.2) only has two differences from the version 1.1 package on the distribution nodes. If you don't need these items then you have everything up to date. The compiler changes are: 1) It will generate code for 8086/8088 machines (ie: no enter/leave instructions) when you specify an option at compile time (execute the compiler with no file name to get the option specification) 2) Having a procedure with a parameter of ARRAY OF <somepointertype> won't dereference the pointer for you when you index the array. If you want the version 1.2 compiler (only) send me a message and a semi-automatic procedure will return 3 mail messages for you with the usual "how to take it apart" instructions. --Regards, E. R.
