[comp.lang.pascal] Turbo Pascal 4.0 on plain-vanilla MS-DOS 2.11?

Ghenis.pasa@Xerox.COM (10/29/87)

does anyone know if TP 4.0 runs under plain-vanilla MS-DOS 2.11 using
the command-line interface? How much RAM does it require?

As I remember from the ads, yes it will run under 2.11. It requires
somewhere around 384K in command line mode (but don't quote me on it).

Last time I heard, Borland was dropping support for non-IBM compatibles
except for the Mac. So, while it may run, it won't be supported,
and Borland will give you your money back if it doesn't.

Your best bet would be to find a software store with an open package
and try it on a vanilla machine.
