Hi, Does anyone know how to read from the serial ports on PC/ATs using TP 3.0? I realize there's an AUX file for COM1, however I need the flexibility of using both COM1 and/or COM2. I've tried reading the ports with the PORT[n] array. The problem with this is that the data is coming in fast and the program isn't able to synchronize with the incoming data. I've tried to set the baud rate to match the peripheral device (a digitizer xmitting at 9600) by accessing the Serial port's baud rate divisor register. That didn't help. The only other thing I can think of is to write something to control the port's registers ;-) !!! There's got to be an easier way! Any and all relevant comments and suggestions would be appreciated. -Jon. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Chow, Dept. of Geography, University of Hawaii.
