Why has nobody yet mentioned Dark Star - there are so many jokey references in this one, from the title to the final "silver surfer" spoof. The special effects are just fine (even if they were made on a shoestring) - can't say enough good things about it... Deryk Barker.

I haven't seen Dark Star in years, but it was one of the best low budget Sci-Fi movies made. I especially liked the dialogue with the planet-killer bomb. -- Smoot Carl-Mitchell, CS Dept. University of Texas at Austin {seismo, ctvax, ihnp4, kpno}!ut-sally!smoot, smoot@ut-sally.{ARPA, UUCP}
