As we might have about 30 crazy/desparate undergraduates trying to compile pascal programs on our poor VAX 785 (running 4.3BSD with NFS from Mt.~Xinu), we are looking for a useful Pascal compiler. The Berkeley Pascal compiler is surely too slow. The primary issue is speed. The machine has about 3.5Gb disk, 24Mb memory and an Ivecs board to handle terminal I/O, so the configuration should suffice. At least, we have done such things before, but not in~pascal! We need to know what compilers are available on the market, how they perform, what they cost, whether it's buggy,..... It would be nice if it worked for SUN 3's and 4's too (besides the VAX), and if sources is available, but that is not essential. Please answer by mail, unless you think it is of general interest.
