Was written by Fritz Leiber. There are at least two other Gummitch stories
that I know of: one in The Book Of Fritz Leiber ( I can't remember the title
of the story), and one in the most recent Anniversary issue of Fantasy and
Science Fiction, titled (I believe) "Cat Hotel". Gummitch is now mentor to a
kitten named Psycho.
