In <4691@killer.UUCP), Robert Lord asked for the Turbo Pascal source from TURBO TECHNIX (May/Jun 88) to generate the Mandelbrot set. I don't have that, but DO have an earlier example in Turbo Pascal (v3.0) that works (saving generated data to file, displaying to screen, etc.) in very clear but VERY SLOW source. I'll be uploading it to SIMTEL20's archives (probably into PD1:<MSDOS.GRAPHICS> or PD1:<MSDOS.TURBOPAS> as MNDLBROT.ARC. If you simply can NOT reach SIMTEL20 (or don't know what I'm talking about), I'll be willing to EMail the uuencoded .ARC file to individual requests. The .PAS file is small, but the provided data file for an example Mandelbrot display is kinda bit, so the .ARC is about 20Kb long (in binary form, add about 1/4 for uuencoding). On your own EMail bill be it! Incidentally, I did NOT write this code .. snarfed it from Delaware OPUS last year. Full credits, etc. in the source code. David Kirschbaum Toad Hall kirsch@braggvax.ARPA
