Turbo Technix is the journal on Borland products put out by Borland themselves. A year's subscription is supposed to be free for the asking from Borland. When it's not free, it's quite expensive ($10 an issue), but well worth it. They've been around for a year now, and I've found all their issues to be excellent, with both in-depth "wizard" articles, and carefully explained "beginner" articles. Give Borland a call, and I'm sure they'll give you the full scoop (I don't have an issue in front of me at the moment to give you the phone number). Garrett

It was Borland's programming magazine. Every person who owned a registered Borland programming language was supposed to get it, but obviously a lot of people didn't. It's too late now, though, because the most recent issue is the last one. They've dropped it. It was a magazine published by Borland, devoted to its' languages.
However, due to cost cutting moves, it has been terminated.

The mention of Turbo Technix brings up a question: I had understood that Turbo Technix was no longer being published, as it was a victim of Borland's recent reduction of costs and some employees. They recently got rid of some employees and Turbo Technix' staff of 10 or 15 was part of the 80 or so people that are gone. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone care? -- In real life: Mark E. Those interested in Turbo Technix may want to call 1-800-543-7543. It only took 5 minutes to be helped, and they WERE helpful. A subscription costs $40 a year for 4 issues. David Deitch, Computer Connection dwd0238@wucec3.wustl.bitnet Fido 1:100/22

Unfortunately, according to Borland, they no longer publish Turbo Technix. Part of their new cost cutting measures. Too bad...they had a good thing going. Garrett

I can't personally confirm it, but the consensus of opinion in several
notesgroups seems to be that it is true. I care, because it was an excellent
publication.

Well, actually, I don't think they ever expected anyone to pay. The first year was definatly free (if you owned a Borland language), and if they had continued publishing I really doubt they were going to make anyone pay for it. Who would pay $10.00 for a skimpy 160 page magazine? Not me.
