I am looking for a complete pascal library for acessing of dbase III files and any documentation available thanks in advance.

There was an article in a past Micro Cornucopia (I don't have it here so I can't tell you which) that detailed accessing DbaseIII files from pascal. The author went into fairly good detail on reading the header, finding the first record, reading records etc. He only touched briefly on index (.NDX) files, though. With the info provided you could build a fair library. NOTE: If any one has a PD TurboPascal DbaseIII library, please e-mail or post. I don't have the time to develop a full library myself. -- Michael Ewan ucbvax...\ Tektronix Inc. decvax....\ (503) 627-6468 uw-beaver.... >!tektronix!nesa!raven!mike mike@raven.TELCOM.TEK.COM uunet..../

If you can get ahold of the September/October issue (#43) of _Micro_Cornucopia_ they is a complete artical on dBASE III (& dBASE III+ as I remember,) file structure as well as some turbo pascal code for accessing records. In the event you want to give their BBS a call the number is: (503) 382-7643 They are running 300/1200/2400 8N1 24hrs. Hope this helps! Mark. {tektronix,hp-pcd}!orstcs!jacobs.CS.ORST.EDU!slezakm
