Don't think if there is any way to do it in standard, but I have
implemented what you probably want as a Turbo Pascal Unit.  It will
allow you to not only use "input" and "output" in their normal fashion,
but it will also allow you to send the I/O to the printer or a log file.

If there are sufficient requests, I will consider posting the source here.

BTW, I put a similar query about this because I was having trouble
implementing such a thing, but a day after posting the query, I figured
out what I was doing wrong.
